Peripheral neuropathic pain affects the network of peripheral nerves that carries sensory information from the periphery to the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). The peripheral nerves divide: sensory nerves (they receive information from the sense organs and transmit them to the central nervous system), motor nerves (transmit information from the central nervous system to the effector organs), mixed nerves (constituted by both sides, sensory and motor). The possible causes of peripheral nerve disorders are many and varied; they can be framed on the basis of some characteristics regarding the onset mode, the type of fiber involved, the distribution of pain and the type of "damage". Hereditary and metabolic factors, oxidative stress, inflammation and trauma are hypothesized. The main causes of peripheral neuropathies include hereditary diseases, metabolic diseases, mechanical and compression injuries, vitamin deficiencies.
Contributing to the proper functioning of the nervous system is important, including through dietary supplementation.
One stick of Xinepa Easy® contains: N-acetyl-L-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, CurQfen® (dry extract of Curcuma longa and Trigonella foenumgraecum) titrated 35% in curcuminoids, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 , vitamin B6, vitamin B12.
ALPHA-LIPOIC ACID
Alpha lipoic acid is present within our body. It has the ability to act both in aqueous environments and in lipophilic environments. It is an antioxidant compound that plays an important role in the energy metabolism of cells. The synthesis of alpha-lipoic acid by the body decreases with age.
N-Acetyl-L-carnitine
N-acetyl-L-carnitine promotes the transport and consumption (oxidation) of long chain fatty acids for energy production. Alpha lipoic acid and N-acetyl-L-carnitine in Xinepa Easy® are characterized by the innovative M.A.T.R.I.S.® technology which allows a modified release over time.
TURMERIC
CurQfen® (Curcuma longa L.) rhizome e.s. titrated 35% total curcuminoids and fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) seed e.s. This particular combination increases its absorption after oral administration, optimizing the effects even at low dosage. CurQfen® is a trademark of Akay Flavors & Aromatics Pvt. Ltd. Malaidamthuruthu P. O., Aluva, Cochin 683561, Kerala, India.
GROUP VITAMINS B: B1 + B2 + B6 + B12
The B vitamins therefore contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system and energy metabolism. Vitamins B1 and B2 supply the nervous tissue with energy. Vitamin B6 is essential for the synthesis of neurotransmitters (including serotonin, which has positive effects on mood) and for the formation of myelin, a sort of sheath that has a protective and insulating function against nerve fibers. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the correct formation of red blood cells and for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the myelin sheath. In fact, its deficiency induces an altered biosynthesis of fatty acids which are a structural part of the myelin coating. Vitamins B2 and B6 are also a valid aid to contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
VITAMIN E
A liposoluble antioxidant par excellence, at the level of cell membranes it protects the cell from damage caused by free radicals. Helps keep the nervous system in good condition, protecting blood vessels and nerve cell membranes.
C VITAMIN
Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant and its integration is particularly effective when combined with vitamin E. It is a vitamin with many recognized functions. It contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, the functioning of the nervous system and psychological well-being. Reduces tiredness and fatigue, and helps the immune system function.
