ALKALOS® A is a dietary supplement based on calcium citrate and vitamin D3 indicated in all subjects who experience deficiencies or increased need for these nutrients that contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.
Calcium is a fundamental mineral due to its many biological functions: it is the major constituent of bones and teeth and is important for normal muscle function. In the form of Calcium Citrate (as it is present in Alkalos A) it is more bioavailable and absorbable and can also be taken on an empty stomach.
Vitamin D3 contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus and, together with calcium, contributes to the maintenance of bones and teeth. It also contributes to the physiological maintenance of the immune system and supports muscle function.
